Asaf Kessler is an explosive and blasting professional with over 17 years of hands-on experience in the explosives field. He established his company in October 2018 with the name Kessler Consultants, offering consultancy and management services for the civil blasting industry globally.

Asaf started his way from the ground level. He learned everything through his hands. Even when he got promoted to a management position, he wanted to do things by himself first - from drilling, charging, stemming, connecting, assembling, and disassembling bombs and explosive charges to inventing, testing, analyzing, and documenting. He understood that learning from practical experience gives a great advantage because working with your bare hands grants you an outstanding aspect of how to make work better.

So today, when he stands at the tunnel entrance and hears the Jumbo drilling, he already knows how the drilling is proceeding. And when he sees the face front before blasting, he understands how the muck pile will look, what malfunctions could happen, and where. 

​

​During his years of experience, Asaf had the privilege to practice a varied range of blasting applications in most of the explosives field subdomains. That includes serving the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) as a combat engineering officer, over a decade of executing complex and challenging civil drilling and blasting projects from planning to completion, conducting trail blasts for the civil, military, and security fields, utilizing commercial explosives, ammunition, high explosive charges, and mortar bombs, and working in the Israeli National Explosives Fireworks Laboratory.
